Welcome to the
Infant Room! We are delighted to be a part of your child’s
education.
We follow the
guidelines of the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum for
Infants and Toddlers. Please see the attached letter for
more information regarding the curriculum in the Infant Room.
Parents need
to provide the center with a daily schedule for your infant.
All bottles and jars of food need to be labeled with your
child’s name and the date. All leftover bottles and food
needs to be taken home or discarded. We will transition
children from bottles and baby foods to sipper cups and table
foods. Please advise us when you are ready to make these
transitions.
We will assist
you in weaning your child from the pacifier. Pacifiers can
hinder language development. We prefer to keep the
pacifier in your child’s crib during the day and use it only as
a comfort item during nap and other difficult times.
Please be sure it is clearly marked with your child’s initials.
New parents
often find the following information helpful:
o
Each child has a hanging file located near the door. In it
you will find billing statements, artwork, book order forms,
parent letter, etc. Please be sure to check this daily.
o
A daily report will be made available to your with information
regarding your child’s meals, diaper changes, nap, and other
activities.
o
Please keep a full extra set of clothing (spills and accidents
do happen) under your child’s crib. Please be sure to
replace this outfit the next day.
